For the winter semester 2025-26 course „Political Theory: A Critical Introduction“, University College Freiburg is looking for a lecturer with a Masters degree and independent teaching experience. The course takes place in presence twice per week (1h45min per session) on the University of Freiburg central campus. Presence in Freiburg on two non-consecutive days of the week is mandatory. The course covers central concepts relating the individual, the community and the state, relying on classical texts and current debates. It is offered as an 8 ECTS English-language interactive seminar with max. 30 participants with interdisciplinary background and study profiles. The course can be taught on the basis of a teaching contract (Lehrauftrag) or of a part-time TV-L E13 contract (25%, incl. additional teaching- and student-related tasks).
